With the current climate being what it is, a sizeable percentage of the UK’s workforce is currently having to spend days on end at home. If you’re the active sort and are in isolation, finding things to fill your day up can be somewhat of a challenge. Fortunately, social media is awash with creative people posting fun videos of how they’re choosing to occupy their time and of course, keep their spirits up. From online virtual dance classes to virtual house parties, you’ll no doubt find something that appeals to you.
If you’re more of an industrious type, you may be looking for more practical and productive tasks to fill your day. If so, the thought may have crossed your mind to get stuck into a few of those DIY projects you’ve been meaning to get around to, but never quite seem to have the time. Well, now’s your chance! It could be anything from tidying up the garden to make it ready for the summer, blitzing your garage of loft or even making a start on putting up that conservatory you’ve always wanted. Whether it’s just a lick of paint or digging the foundations for a kitchen extension, there’s a good chance that you’re going to accumulate rubbish that you’re going to need to get rid of at some stage.
That’s where we can help. Once we reopen, Metro Waste will be on-hand to take your rubbish removal and skip hire bookings to help you keep your home clear of any unwanted waste once your project is done and dusted. During these difficult times, we’re still available 6 days a week, Monday through to Saturday for free help and advice by phone or email, ready for when we open our doors for business again.
Will I need to book a skip or a rubbish collection truck?
Trying to choose between a skip or our rubbish collection service can sometimes be a tricky decision as it all depends on the type of waste you want removing. For example, if you’re digging up an old patio and find yourself drowning in broken paving slabs and concrete, a skip may be the best choice at the moment. You can fill it on your own, at your own pace, and pack it tightly right up to the “fill” line to get the best bang for your buck. We’ve got a range of sizes to choose from and can advise you on the best size for the task at hand, and we’ll able to deliver and collect your skip as soon as our service resumes.
Conversely, if you’re refitting your kitchen or have bulkier, lighter items such as sofas, wardrobes or even fridge-freezers, our large-capacity junk collection trucks will be far more suitable. They can hold a far greater volume of waste and you can simply relax while our hardworking staff get to work loading the truck. The other main benefit of choosing this open is that, unlike a skip, you only have to pay for the items we take. In other words, if we only fill a quarter of the truck, that’s all you’ll pay for.
So, now is the perfect time to keep yourself busy and work your way through that “to do” list that you previously didn’t have the time for. Just drop us an email or give us a call and we’ll be happy to give you professional advice about which of our services would work best for you.
